I may not be wording exactly right but Blackmagic greyed out the iso because it is treated so differently between camera companies and it’s difficult to get them all in line with one control system. If you want do some effects to it, you have to drop an effect onto the png from the left side first. Click on EFFECTS on the left side of the page.and drag it onto the png. THEN, the effects controls will light up on the upper right side..
